Jr. and Sr. Toddlers
- In Jr. Toddlers (approximately 12-18 months) children enter their first few months of toddlerhood in a room designed for them to safely grow and cultivate their natural curiosity as they begin to explore their surroundings. Their sense of self and flourishing gross motor development is built upon with centers and activities designed for them to safely test boundaries.
- Sr. Toddlers (approximately 18-24 months) are ready for more play centers and activities that provoke curiosity and exploration. Our Sr. Toddlers take ownership of their learning and play while our teachers work on helping their children embrace routines and established boundaries. This allows them to engage in meaningful interactions with peers and adults.
2s Room
Our 2s room piggy backs off of the routines established in Sr. Toddlers and works to develop your child’s independence. We build their communication skills to be able to articulate their ideas, needs and wants. The parallel play of toddlerhood begins to change into cooperative play through the activities and centers created by our teachers.
3K and UPK
Our 3K and UPK rooms follow an interdisciplinary approach where the environment serves as the “Third Teacher.” They follow the NYC DOE 3-K for All Explorations (3K) and the Pre-K Interdisciplinary Units of Study (UPK) while incorporating the children’s interests and needs. Our Preschool rooms strive to teach children independence and responsibility for not only themselves but for the community and world they live in.
